Pingback: Detroit 2012 Book List by Grace Lee Boggs | Detroit 2012
I was born in Detroit in 1942. I’d like to be with you there this summer; what can I do?…
You might also consider “No More Throwaway People” by Dr. Edgar Cahn, founder of the American time bank movement. Dr. Cahn was a speech writer and public policy writer for Bobby Kennedy, and is a pioneer in the ideas of alternative currencies and co-production. He also wrote “Time Dollars,” and “Our Brothers Keeper.” He heads TimeBanksUSA and lives in Washington, DC. He is an indefatigible worker for peace and social justice.
(I’m not even going to go there…)
Great list, Ms. Grace!
